Our History

FirstDay Financial's heritage in the Dayton area goes back nearly 70 years.
In 1935 the Dayton Ohio Teachers Federal Credit Union was organized to serve teachers in the Dayton school district.  Until 1968 the credit union operated from a location on Wolf Creek Pike in Brookville. In 1998, the credit union bought a new 6,000 square foot headquarters building on Babbitt Street in downtown Dayton, which still serves as the operational center for the credit union.

Today our field of membership has grown to include all people who live, work, worship, attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in Greene, Miami, Montgomery, or Preble Counties.  We have five branch locations to serve you. We have grown to over 13,000 members and $70,000,000 in total assets. FirstDay Financial Federal Credit Union employs nearly 50 people in the Dayton area.

We invite you to join FirstDay and take advantage of all the benefits your membership has to offer.

We think anyone who becomes a FirstDay member is smart... just because it's such a great financial value. Better rates, free services, etc. But, we've been serving teachers and school employees for nearly 70 years, and we think they're pretty smart. See why they think we're a new way to bank.
